The keys to your success in the scrapbooking industry are no different than any other business. There are certain core elements to every successful endeavor. As you read through this post consider where you are in these areas and if you can improve. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list of success keys but they are certainly a good place to start.

FOCUS - It’s so easy to get revved up about a new project or business idea. Your mind races at 100 mph about the possibilities that exist. The farther you go into your project the less glamorous it becomes. Suddenly the WORK sets in and the project is no longer as fun as it used to be. This is where you must be mentally strong and continue towards the finish line. Remember the goal and the benefits once you are finished with the project. Work with small doable chunks so that at the end of the day you feel as though you have accomplished something.

ATTITUDE - You have probably heard the old saying that attitude is everything. Well as cliche as it may sound it is absolutely true. Your attitude will determine your success or lack of success. It’s not always easy to have a good attitude but there are things you can do to keep yourself on the right track.

Only associate with others who have good attitudes and those that encourage you to keep going. If you allow those who are negative to dwell within your circle of influence their attitude will rub off on you. People who are upbeat will keep you upbeat, people who move forward no matter what the circumstances will help you move forward. Your friends, family, associates, co-workers, they all have an impact on your attitude so only associate with those who are positive in your business life.
