Simple Marketing Tips that Work!
Monthly Theme Emails
As you begin to grow your list start sending a monthly theme email to all your existing clients. You create a simply scrapbook type page and include it in your email. Monthly examples might include:
- New Year’s
- Valentines
- Mother’s Day
- Fourth of July
- Back to School
- Thanksgiving
There are other holidays you can create pages for that will keep your name and your design ability in front of your clients. You can ask each client to forward the email to their friends if they like it. Soon you will be getting calls and emails from new clients.
You can incorporate your offline marketing in the same way by posting these on bulletin boards, handing them out to people, attending special events and using them as examples of your work and ideas for pages. Once again just let your imagination be your guide.
Birthday Cards
Hopefully you are creating relationships with your clients and not just scrapbook pages. Relationships will take you a lot farther than your talent. One way to help foster relationships is to remember special occasions. Birthdays come to mind as a chance to send a personal note using a theme you create. You don’t have to create a separate one for every client but have a couple template styles made up and each month as birthdays pop up send off your own online card (one you create) or a personal note in the mail with a printed piece you made.
Free Sales Staff
Be sure that every time you speak with a client you give them a few business cards and simply ask that if they are happy with your services and/or products that they help you grow your business by handing out your business cards to their friends and associates. Everyone that does business with you will know someone else who may be interested in what you have to offer. Clients can be an amazing sales staff if you have fostered the relationship and provided quality service and products.
